ABOUT US

The Canadian Jewish Law Students Association was founded by a group of dedicated students and supporters in 1987.  Jewish students at Canadian law schools are connected through local JLSAs (Jewish Law Students Associations), which organize social, religious and educational events at their respective law faculties. The CJLSA unites students across Canada, mainly through our annual conference. Each winter students gather from law schools across Canada for a weekend of learning, networking and socializing. Speakers in recent years have included judges from Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as other prominent lawyers, academics and politicians.

CJLSA encourages students to contact us with any ideas or suggestions as we carry out our mandate. While we are working on the development of various initiatives beyond our annual conference, your input would be most helpful. Please see our “Contact” section to get in touch with us. Whether you are hoping to get in touch with other Jewish students at your school, would like to collaborate with other student organizations but need help, or would like to suggest any other initiative, we will do our best to help you. Working together, we can accomplish!
